Eglon was a king during biblical times who was famous for his cruel ways and gluttonous tendencies. He one day recieved a visit from the Israelite prophet Ehud, who claimed he had “a message from God” for the king, then proceeded to disembowel Eglon on the spot with a sword hidden under his tunic. The king’s servants found Eglon’s corpse later on, a literal mass of bloated entrails…
